Yvone Bates - figure competitor
Keep
your eye on Yvonne Bates. Currently living in Kansas City,
Missouri (USA), Ms. Bates first began competing in 2003, when she won
1st place at the Gold Classic in Kansas City. Her last
competition was the WNBF Pro Natural Northeast Figure, where she took
7th place. She was voted "Best Bodybuilder" in The Pitch
newspaper; you can read the article here,
and she works as a personal trainer at Scott Fitness in Kansas City.

Ms. Bates writes:"I try to have a balanced
inner peace, and I try to stay positive about life. I also know that
the rest will only shine. Being healthy physically and emotionally is
very important. Please take care of your body and soul!"
Originally from Cambodia, Ms. Bates makes brief mention on her web site about losing family members and the struggle of coming to the United States. She obviously has mental toughness to go along with her physique.
