Cao Xin Li (曹新丽)
Caó Xīn Lì (曹新丽) has caused quite a stir. She began bodybuilding at age 16; within 6 months wonthe Xin Jiang Competition and continued competing from 2000 - 2004. In 2005 she placed third at the 7th World Games in Duisburg, Germany.
HDPhysiques.com has continued biography of Chinese bodybuilder Caó Xīn Lì here.
Fibofoto.de has a beatiful photoshoot of Ms. Caó in contest shape. Some sample images are here:

An article about Ms. Caó is here.
It is in Chinese, but the picture of Ms. Caó and her biceps is worth 1000
words.
She has gotten
the attention of Lingster at Amaz0ns.com
in this
post.
Finally, James Cook at at FTVideo has done a shoot with her.

Thanks
to Muskblog for
displaying both "曹新丽" and "健美."

Cao is incredible!! She moved to the US and will hopefully be competing in the NPC (US amateur bb organization). Anymore have any more info on her or what she's up to now?

I last heard that she lives in New York City with her sister. I am not sure how accurate that is, or if it is still the case. She did a few photoshoots, and seems to have gone into hiding. Unfortunately, from what I understand, it is very difficult to pursue bodybuilding outside of Miami or L.A. New York has a difficult climate and it the population is not as supportive of a bodybuilding lifestyle. If anyone knows anything about Cao Xin Li, please post!

Mmm... as of Jan 27th (only two months ago) she seemed to be bodybuilding up a storm! Look at the mass she added in these photos on this thread from FTvideo, shot on that date.

There is also a great video interview (have to be a member) of Xin-Li where she says she is proud and happy to show off her muscles and advertise how bodybuilding makes the body more beautiful. Anyway, I am optimistic...
Also, there are a number of FBBs in New York, and actually, I think New Yorkers are tough, independent-minded people, and also more accepting of different lifestyles than in other places (although the West Coast may be more health- and body-conscious?).

Thanks for the link!
Yes, NY'rs are tough, but I have heard through the grapevine about BB's who had a hard time making it in "the scene" without relocating to LA. I know that a few manage to do it, but it seems the biggest names end up in California. I am sure there are no rules, though. If you are the best, people will want you.
I just wish Ms. Cao lots of success!

Hi there,
If you want to promote Asian female muscle, it makes sense to at least know how Chinese names work. Cao Xin Li is Ms. Cao, not Ms. Li. Her "familiar" name is Xin Li.

Ah, I do know how Chinese names work, but I do not know how to read Chinese very well at all. I had made the assumption that the English translation was already inverted, and made a further assumption that "Li" was her surname, as it is a rather common family name. After verifying in an online hanzi dictionary, I see you are 100% correct-- I will change the entry. Thank you for pointing it out.

wow, you even got the intonation marks!
just a minor quibble, the last intonation mark, on the "li", is wrong... it's the downward one, not the same one as for "cao". the 4th sound.

Ha ha-- I'll fix it . . .
Thanks for your help and for taking the time to comment.
